5 Reasons to Not Buy Cheap Dental Implants

Replacing missing or decaying teeth has become more affordable today than it has ever been throughout history. This is made possible by the advancements in materials and dental technology as well as in the training of our dentists. Even with these advancements dental implants can cost as much as $30,000 for the procedure and since it is considered “cosmetic” some dental insurance companies probably won’t even cover the cost.

This puts us in a mindset that we need to shave off as much of that price as we can as if we were shopping for a pot roast at the grocer. Saving money can be good when it comes to groceries or electronics but when it comes to our health we need to toss that mentality and realize that we only have one life to live so we can’t trust our health to our own “shopping saver” minds.

To help illustrate why you would want to use an experiecned dentist I have found some reasons to not buy into cheap dental implants for the sake of our own health and in the long-term our pocket books. These are not all of the risks just a few that can lead to severe problems after and during the operation.

5 Reasons:

• Nerve damage to the lips, chin, or sinus cavities

• Infection in the gum area

• Damage to the neighboring teeth

• Bone damage in the jaw

• Implants can become loose and fall out

Many of these risks can be avoided if we just used an experienced dentist for the operation instead of the cheapest dentist. We may avoid some upfront costs but when complications arise it usually takes more money to fix so why not get it done right the first time and save ourselves the time and money it will take to correct subpar dental work.
