Braces are not cheap. This statement makes parents and adults cringe when they hear their dentist say that they or their children need braces. To know if the price you got for your braces are in line with the national averages for your region it is good to know what the regions are paying for an average treatment. We will look at the North East, South, Mid West, and West Coast regions to see how much people in those areas are paying for their braces and this should help us to determine if we are getting the best price on braces with our current dentist.

North East

New York, Main and Boston area: Average price for braces between children, teens, and adults $11,000.

South

Texas, Louisiana and Florida area: Average price for braces between children, teens, and adults $7,000.

Mid West

Ohio, Michigan, and Montana area: Average price for braces between children, teens, and adults $7,500.

West Coast

California and Washington area: Average price for braces between children, teens, and adults $9,000.

These figures are just averages for an entire braces treatment from start to finish. These figures can change based on treatment period, type of braces other than metal that the patient gets, and how much other dental work is needed along with the braces.

Although braces are not cheap that doesn’t mean that we must settle for the first price we get. There are many dentists in any given town that can offer the same treatment whether you want clear braces or metal braces. The difference in dentists is their experience and the care they provide to their customer so it pays to shop around to make sure that you are getting the best price and service for your hard earned money.
