Overcoming panic attacks naturally

Things spin fast and often get out of control when you are having a panic attack. It does not matter whether you have been suffering from panic attacks your whole life or it is a new experience, the next attack always seems more intense, lasts longer and comes sooner than the previous. The experience of an attack is simply something that a person cannot live with. This fear of the next attack is what aggravates the attacks because the patient leads a life of slavery, fearing the attacks over anything else. A person suffering from severe anxiety disorder will always find it almost impossible to lead a normal life whether in a family setting, professionally or socially because they are always in fear and expecting an attack at any moment.

To reduce the intensity and frequency of panic attacks, the patient must first learn to recognize the symptoms of this condition especially right before it strikes. This will be important in determining the exact trigger of the attacks, the situations under which attacks are imminent and any other factors that might be helpful in arresting the attacks before they happen. Panic attacks are characterized by several symptoms that may be mistaken for a more dangerous condition like stroke, seizures and heart attacks.

The physical symptoms of anxiety attacks include tightness in the chest, chest and stomach pains, shortness of breath and faster shallow breathing, hot and cold flashes, extreme terror, numbness and tingling, blurry vision, feeling of losing control and death. If you are a patient suffering from this condition, you need to shape your life to accommodate more healthy living free of stress and confrontations or any factors that may make you angry, shocked or other feelings that cause adrenaline rush. Other than this, avoid drinking alcohol and taking drugs or beverages that contain caffeine and other stimulants.
