Eating right and taking care of yourself is something that we all know we need to do, but just how far we need to take it is up to personal interpretation and some of us are always planning on starting tomorrow to get back in shape and eat better. One thing that seems to shock many people into action is that blood test result that shows results that aren’t so good and make you feel like getting that “D” on the big test back in high school. You know you weren’t really paying attention to things and were planning on studying sometime, but took test hoping for good results instead of knowing you would get a good score. The blood test results that showed elevated blood sugar levels and triglycerides and all the rest, weren’t really that much of a surprise, they just confirmed that nagging feeling that you needed to be eating and exercising differently and more. Like the test in high school hoping for good results didn’t cut it and pretending to eat better and living on good intentions about your health didn’t cut it either.
That last test is past and can’t be changed, but future tests are still out there and now that the need to change has been confirmed in a very big way it’s time to get serious about those intentions and take action to get blood sugar levels back in shape and avoid a repeat of the last test. Grounding yourself from sugar filled foods and soda pop and no fiber is a start and you were probably grounded after those bad results in high school and the same still applies. Better behavior will get you ungrounded, but now it isn’t getting to go out on the weekend you are worrying about, it’s getting to an older age and without changes and lowering those test results the future may be in doubt.Use those poor test results as a wake up call and make some serious changes.
