How to Design a Red Kitchen

So, you are getting sick of looking at that dull, plain kitchen every day, huh? Well, it turns out that there is hope: change the entire color scheme to a color that will “turn those frowns upside down”! One color that offers this option is, of course, red! You are probably thinking, “Yuck, that sounds too bright for my tastes!”. Well, you would not be the first to come to that preconception; however, evidence actually shows that people who invest in changing their kitchen’s decor to a brighter atmosphere (e.g., red), end up liking it! As an example, the warmer colors, like red, stir up positive emotions, making a person feel safe, cozy, and cheerful in his own environment. Give it a try, then; spice up your kitchen, which will enhance your life! Follow the recommendations below to transform your kitchen into a bold and exotic scenery:

1)  Get the paintbrushes ready: Use red as an accent color around your kitchen walls, while selecting bright white as the primary color.

2) Decide what kind of fabric you want: Experts suggest picking one that has a red base color and changing sizes of white around it, like circles or polka dots, for example.

3) Delve into dishware: One decorator suggests the “Frankoma company in Oklahoma”, as they have a wide selection of red pottery, which would look perfect in your red environment. As an example, their dishes have stamped images on them (e.g., Native Americans riding horses and cowboys). Plus, their value increases over time as well! Common types of patterns for your warm kitchen include: roses, roosters, apples, cherries, strawberries, and tomatoes.

4) Cooking Essentials: Get tea pots, red mixers, pans, pots, baking utensils, spatulas, measuring cups, bowls, coffee pots, soap dispensers, and anything  made of red material to further enhance the vivacity of the kitchen.

5) Tablecloths are important: Get tablecloths that adorn red features while having a white background; for example, select fruits (e.g., apples, watermelons, cherries, strawberries, etc.) and vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, red chili peppers, radishes, beats, etc.) that are red in physical appearance: doing this method emphasizes a) a red color, and b) that the kitchen is important for foods!
Enjoy your new, red kitchen!
