Even if you are an executive that does not necessarily mean that you have a huge office suite at your disposal. What if you run your business out of your home and the former sitting area in your master bedroom has to serve as your executive office? You will need a functional, yet small executive desk to get the job done.
There are smaller options for your executive desk. What makes a desk an executive one is who sits at it. You can make any office furniture into your executive furniture if it fits into your office space and meets your functional needs. If you own a small business and work out of your home then it might be a good idea to find a used executive desk and credenza rather than buying one new.
There are plenty of places to find used office furniture. You can look for businesses that are going out of business. Even retail stores and restaurants have offices where they have office furniture. If a local store is going out of business, they are always looking for extra cash. You can offer to buy any office furniture you might find useful and they will usually give it to you for a good price as long as you can pick it up. You can also look at office supply stores. They periodically change the floor models they have on display in their showrooms. When they do, those floor models cannot be sold at regular price. You can typically buy them at a great discount. Especially if there are any flaws or damage.
Another great way to find used office furniture is to look for companies that are expanding or remodeling. A local car dealership was going through a major remodel a few years ago in my neighborhood. I went in and asked one of the managers if they were buying new furniture for their new offices. Since the answer was yes, I offered to buy the old furniture from them at a steal.
